Cadbury Dairy Milk has ended winter with a joyous bang by announcing the grand prize winner of their annual winter promotion - 57 year old Mr Malik Samuels from Paarl.  He claimed the promotion’s biggest prize of an overseas holiday valued at R250 000 which he will share with his wife and 3 children.

The announcement which was made live on a popular morning TV programme had an emotional Mr Samuels in tears as he received his prize.  “I cannot believe this, what an amazing prize! Not only does this bring me extreme joy, but I get to share this wonderful experience with the close people in my life. This is unbelievable!” said an ecstatic Mr Samuels.

 The promotion invited South African consumers to “Let Loose the Joy” and win their share of R500 000 in Joy vouchers, ranging from spa vouchers and extreme driving courses to helicopter rides and weekends away with a grand prize of a holiday to the value of R250 000.

The Samuels family had a tough decision choosing where he wanted to go on holiday. Some of the options included Austria, Thailand and Rio de Janero. “We have never travelled overseas before so the decision was extremely difficult! I have always wanted a beautiful beach holiday, so at least that helped with my decision.”

Of the five international travel destinations on offer, they have selected to go to Cancun in Mexico. “We are so excited about the holiday to Cancun. I cannot wait to buy myself a Sombrero!” exclaims Samuels.

Samuels works as a site manager in the construction industry and his wife is a grade 1 school teacher.
